Many people are facing the problem with having to fight the war against acne, and what is amazing is that this issue seems to be more amount those who are in their teens. Now there are many products on the market that claims to have the solution to this problem but as you state here that salicylic acid for acne treatment is no different even though it has its benefits. I believe that one of the keys however in fighting acne is diet, keeping your face clean, not touching face with hands, not using dirty towel on face and so on.

Hi and thanks for your comment! You’re right, many people suffer from acne and with a market flooded with options it can be very difficult to know what to choose. I agree with you that there are many things that contribute to clearing acne, healthy diet and not spreading bacteria included, and skincare products are just a part of it. I’ve tried countless salicylic acid products and this is by far the best Salicylic Acid for acne treatment. But in order to fully clear acne then other ingredients are also necessary, Salicylic Acid is just one of them.

Thanks again for your comment! All the best,

    Hi Stuart,
Nice post! I actually know people who use salicylic acid based soaps to get rid of acne. Do you think that’s a good idea? Wouldn’t it be better to use a skincare product?

    • Hi, thank you very much for your comment and question abut the best Salicylic Acid for acne treatment.

There are a number of reasons why bar soaps are not recommended for acne. The first is that they can collet germs unless stored very hygienically.
Also, the binders used in them so that they can retain their shape is also a potential pore clogger, so not recommended for people suffering from
acne. And finally, they generally have a high ph which is problematic for two reasons, because it dries out the skin and because a high ph does not allow the Salicylic Acid to perform its function of exfoliating inside the pore. Therefore, I do not believe Salicylic Acid soaps to be a useful skincare product for people suffering from acne.

You will receive far greater results by using a hygienic product, without irritants and pore-clogging ingredients and that is of the correct ph to be able to perform effectively.

      Thanks again for you comment!
